System Health Checks
We are regularly approached by companies who tell us that their business systems do not support a specific business function or the overall organisation. However, often we find that this is not the case. Instead we find that the business has changed (requirements are now different) or that the people who were involved in the original implementation have left, training documentation has been lost, and very little knowledge has been passed on about how to use all aspects of the software.
We also come across situations where the original intent was to purchase and implement the software in phases but this process was never completed and as a consequence not all relevant modules are in place. The result is that the system’s true potential and how to harness it is not always understood and in many cases an implementation can be finished, or an upgrade completed, quickly and inexpensively overcoming the problems.
Although not as common as the above scenario, we also receive complaints from companies that their systems are unstable and not reliable. The system crashes and goes down with little warning. In many cases we find that the systems have been in place for some years without having routine database and infrastructure maintenance. Often this can be easily remedied and stability issues corrected without spending a lot of money.
MEAC personnel have been working with ERP and related systems for over 20 years. Between us we have worked on most of the common ERP systems and many specialist supply chain and related systems.
We have a set of checklists and a proven methodology that enables our consultants to quickly understand whether or not your company and the individuals that make it up are getting the most out of your ERP and related systems, no matter what system you are using.
For information about how MEAC can assist you to make better use of, or improve the stability of, your existing systems please email us at enquiry@meacgroup.com.
