CRM and Pipeline Management
A MEAC Group delivered version of Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides you with full CRM and Pipeline Management functionality, including a CRM module that contains Contact Management, Campaign Management, Lead and Opportunity Management as well as Sales Contracts, all linked to Sales Pipeline. However in addition to pipeline by dollars we can provide you with pipeline and projection by resource type. This when combined with Resource Allocation can help management understand where resources are being used today and where they are likely to be used in the future, effectively providing projected resource utilisation and income.
Estimates and Quotes
One of the challenges of Professional Service providers is developing quotes. Although we cannot pretend that Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne will know how to estimate what may be required for a given project we can deliver you a module that will allow you to simulate different estimates taking to account different resource costs and margins so you can understand how best to develop a final estimate and turn it into a quote. Once the job has been one you can use the information in the estimate and quote as the first part of establishing and ongoing assignment in the system.
Project and Job Execution
Once an “assignment or job” has been won, Professional Services companies need to plan, budget, execute and track progress against the budget to ensure that deliverables and profit objectives are being met. As time moves on, change requests need to be recorded and added to the original scope of work with budgets and revenue targets revised. Where required, the tasks or activities listed in against the assignment or job will need to be assigned to resources (which may be sub-contractors) and then scheduled with the aid of specialist Project Management tools. In addition issues and risks need to be recorded and analysed.
A MEAC configured version of Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne coupled with Oracle’s Primavera P6 will allow you to do all this and more.
Financials
Most ERP systems on the market cater for the standard Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger modules. Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne takes this further providing you with additional functionality including, Multi Company and Multi Business Unit, flexible Chart of Accounts, Expense Management, Budgeting and more.
Payroll and HRM
Many ERP system sold in Australia do not come with Australian Payroll or HRM modules. This often results in expensive integrations, dual entry of data or outsourcing of critical back office functions.
Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides a suite of integrated Payroll and HRM applications designed to overcome the problems mentioned above and help streamline HR operations by reducing time-intensive administrative tasks and lowering costs by deploying self-service applications. Modules and functionality provided include Australia Payroll, Time Sheet Entry, e-Recruitment, Performance Management, Compensation Management and Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service.
Projects and Job Cost Accounting
Although many ERP systems contain good Project or Job Cost functionality, not all do this to the extent required by Professional Services provider organisations. Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne goes against this trend providing comprehensive Job or Project Accounting functionality which allows Project and Financial Managers to see exactly where the project is against budget, what the current commitments are and what is the expected cost to complete. This enables accurate revenue and margin projections to be made.
Reporting and Analytics
Most ERP systems provide report writing capability and integration with Microsoft Office products, as does Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. However in addition to this JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provides a sophisticated Management Dashboard and Financial Compliance Console. These two applications provide graphical displays of key, Sales, Practice and Financial metrics, out of the box.
If more sophistication is required, Oracle provides a range of pre-formatted Business Intelligence “Applications” which are integrated with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
