Over the past 17 years Pentarch Forest Products has become one of Australia's leading suppliers of timber products to the markets of Asia and the Middle East. It is a major exporter of plantation grown Radiata pine and selected "true" hardwoods from Australia and New Zealand. The logistics support that accompanies the procurement effort is extensive. The purchasing of roundwood is exclusively from sustainably managed plantations, often with an international certification such as the Forest Stewardship Council. Pentarch Farms provides animal fodder to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan for dairy and beef cattle.
Pentarch Farms has established themselves as one of the leaders in these markets, concentrating on delivering quality produce from farm gate to end-user. Pentarch Farms processing facility in Narrogin Hay is one of the largest hay production facilities globally and it continues to embrace modern technology to improve efficiencies. As a result of expansion and change to the business, Pentarch’s existing ERP solution no longer provided the functionality and scale to support the business. After an extensive selection process Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was selected and implemented.
The implementation covered all aspects of the organisations financial and operational aspects of the business. Modules implemented included Financials, Procurement, Inventory Management, Grower Management and Transport Management.
